Inscription/Marks: Location and activity are noted on back, and page 338 cited for Prairie Tales. Ownership of original is Mrs. Edward Hansen, Bowman.
Summary: From the book Prairie Tales, a history of Bowman County (N.D.), this photograph shows Nels Nordgren and his brother with others at Spring Creek. One man is loading coal into a horse-drawn wagon in a deep cut in a hillside. Two men rest at their shovels. Boards and a bucket are trewn about and another team and wagon are waiting above.
