Title: Frosted, a Dakota Sioux Medicine Man

Inscription/Marks: This photgraph is contained in a tri-fold photograph folder. On the back is pasted a printed biography of Frosted, prepared by the photographer to accompany the image.
Summary: Photographed outside a clapboard building on a patch of dirt stands Frosted, a young Dakota Sioux medicine man. Barry has shown him wearing a cloth jacket and pants with a hat. His ankle is shackled to a ball and chain. The ball hangs over his shoulder. According to the story printed on the back of the item, The Seventh Cavalry caught Frosted and placed him in a ball and chain to prevent his further encouragement of Indian action against the Crow.
