Title: Looking Glass (Arikara)

Inscription/Marks: On the back: Looking Glass.
Summary: Photographed standing with a prop rock and a winter scene as background is Arikara Indian, Looking Glass. An unidentified rectangular object is at his hand, on the rock. One feather is in his hair, which is unsymmetrically arranged. One side of his hair is banded with fabric and then unbraided, while the other side is banded and then covered by a nearly complete otter skin. Other details of dress include a dentalium necklace, arm and wrist bands, a long shirt, and a striped blanket. The pants have beaded sections running down the outside of the legs.
