Inscription/Marks: On the back of the photo folder: Chief Crow. Chief Crow gave the war cry that rushed the indians into battle against Custer, June 1876.
Summary: Formal portrait of the Hunkpapa warrior Chief Crow. His long hair is in two fur-wrapped braids. Two hide discs hang from beaded cord from either his ears or his hair. A short beaded necklace is at his neck. His shirt is striped. His eyes have a faintly crossed appearance. Crow wars the man whose war cry led the Indian forces into the Battle of the Little Big Horn, in 1876.
