The backing is made of another piece of printed advertising, showing a man's image with sheaves of wheat next the the photograph.
Summary: Five images of buildings and events in North Dakota and Minnesota. The individual images are glued to cardboard that has a hand colored image of man printed on reverse that appears to be a paste-up for a cover to the Nonpartisan Leader newspaper. Photo number 1 shows a two story house with three chimneys, a tower and a widow's walk. The second photograph shows a two story clapboard house set among trees. The third photograph shows a man in duster (or long overcoat) standing behind a group of hogs and pigs. The fourth photograph shows D. H. Evans Hardware Store which is located in Tracey, Lyons County (MN). The front of D. H. Evans Hardware store has posters and displays of tools and rifles in windows. There is a concrete sidewalk in front of the store which has a decorative cornice just below name on building. Buildings have dates of 1878 and 1903. The store was owned by David Evans, Governor of Minnesota in 1918. Store is located in Tracey, Lyons County (Minn.). The fifth photograph shows the buildings on a farm include a stable and a silo that is also shown in 00055-0017. None of the images have identifications. The photographs are trimmed and the mat around them is embellished with inked flourishes.

Summary: Images of agriculture, the Nonpartisan League, and buildings. Many of the images were used in the Nonpartisan Leader. Photographs were taken in Bismarck, Brantford, Buffalo Spring, Esmond, Fargo, Hekton, McKenzie, Pretty Rock, Williston and Wyndmere (N.D.).
