Summary: The scene shows a room at the North Dakota Agriculture College in Fargo (N.D.) where an procedure is on-going. A pony is strapped down to table shaped to accommodate the configuration of an animal lying on its side. Veterinarian is working on the back hoof while two aproned men assist. One holds a bowl with liquid and cloth. Three men stand behind the head of the pony, monitoring the animals reactions. The head is covered with a cloth and strapped down. There are straps on its middrift and around each of the hooves. On the wall behind the trio of head-holders is a frame filled with comparative photographs of cattle breeds. A large window provides light. Published in Nonpartisan Leader Vol. 4, No. 20, May 17, 1917, p09, with the caption: A demonstration hoof operation being performed at the college on the animal's operating table, with a pony as the patient . Summary: Images of agriculture, the Nonpartisan League, and buildings. Many of the images were used in the Nonpartisan Leader. Photographs were taken in Bismarck, Brantford, Buffalo Spring, Esmond, Fargo, Hekton, McKenzie, Pretty Rock, Williston and Wyndmere (N.D.).
