Summary: In this image Gilbert shows the front and right side of school building. The Hanson Consolidated School, in rural Ransom County (N.D.), is a single story clapboard building with full basement and a hipped roof. It is nearly square in its footprint. Double-hung windows are visible on both sides, the upper windows have storm windows installed on most of them. A stair with railings on both sides leads up to open door in the double door entrance to the school. Hipped roof covered with asphalt tiles and cupola with flag pole and chimney are visible. In the background photo right is a gambrel roofed barn with an open door. A tree windbreak surrounds the school and barn. The print has crop lines for publication.

Summary: Images of agriculture, the Nonpartisan League, and buildings. Many of the images were used in the Nonpartisan Leader. Photographs were taken in Bismarck, Brantford, Buffalo Spring, Esmond, Fargo, Hekton, McKenzie, Pretty Rock, Williston and Wyndmere (N.D.).
