Summary: Published in the Nonpartisan Leader, this Arthur Benson Gilbert photograph shows the front and right side of a rural school building in Ransom County (N.D.). Two story clapboard building with full basement with a cut stone foundation. Double-hung windows are visible on both sides, some of the windows have storm windows installed. A stair with railings on both sides leads up to the double door entrance to the school. Hipped roof covered with asphalt tiles and a covered bell tower with railings on three sides. A chimney and water tank are visible on the back of the roof. In the backyard of the Moore Consolidated School is an outhouse on one end and a teacherage on the other end of the back portion of the schoolyard. An automobile is parked between the teacherage and the school. In the foreground is bare ground or grass. The print has been retouched with gouche to fill in the grass in the lower photo right. The building was burned sometime in July of 1933.

Summary: Images of agriculture, the Nonpartisan League, and buildings. Many of the images were used in the Nonpartisan Leader. Photographs were taken in Bismarck, Brantford, Buffalo Spring, Esmond, Fargo, Hekton, McKenzie, Pretty Rock, Williston and Wyndmere (N.D.).
