Summary: A photograph taken of the upstairs bathroom in the Old Governor's Mansion, Bismarck (N.D.) accompanies a February 13, 1955 Fargo Forum story with photographs of the current mansion after the legislature approved the construction of a new mansion. The photo shows a tidy but small bathroom with tub, sink, stool, and radiator visible. The tall narrow window is curtained with light-colored ruffled fabric. A bathroom scales sits on the linoleum floor. The caption under the image: "Bathroom-only bath facilities in the governor's house are on the second floor, a small lavatory, however, has been installed on the first floor."
