Summary: A man stands outside the sliding door at one end of a balloon-framed wooden barn in the Red River Valley of North Dakota. Behind him are four farm buildings, including the massive Gothic arch barn, used for hay and livestock. This barn has a sliding panel entry door on the ground level on the front facade. High up in the curving arch of the roof a hood extends in a point over the closed hay door. Two double-hung windows, 6-over-6 lights each flank the lower panels of the hay door.
