Folder: 0003
Item: 00095
Title: The Bridgeman-Russell Company building, Grand Forks (N.D.)
Date: 1936-1942
Inscription/Marks: On the back: 0075-095, "Grand Forks", "GNDA" in red.
Summary: The two story brick building containing the Bridgeman-Russell Company has awnings over many of the upper windows, and a covered porch running across the front and one side. A tall smokestack towers over the building. On the porch and loading dock are many wooden barrels and metal milk containers. The dairy is receiving a load of milk containers brought to the creamery on a wagon drawn by a team of horses. This seems to indicate a date from perhaps the 1920, and the location is Grand Forks (N.D.). The wagon and team are near a car. Along the short side of the building an enclosed porch or shed area faces a spur rail line on which two wooden railcars are sitting. A large water tank is placed at the rear of the building. The billboard above the front of the creamery has the identification and advertising for the business.
