Title: WPA Bridge Project, Scranton (N.D.)
Date: 1937-1942
Inscription/Marks: On the back: 00075-00311, "Scranton Bridge", and "27" stamped in blue.
Summary: Completed enough to support a vehicle travel over it is a WPA-built stone and concrete bridge. Part of a waterworks infrastructure project in Bowman County, near Scranton (N.D.). The approach and abutments indicate the project isn't finished, and no planting has been done to stabilize the loose soil around this cut stone bridge. There are three arches to divide and minimize the force of future stream flow.
