Summary: Icicles cover the pillars beside the entrance to a farmyard. The house, windmill, and outbuildings are frosted with ice and the trees in the foreground are bowed down with, or broken off by, the encasing ice. It is possible this picture documents the aftermath of the winter of 1935-1936, which made snow accumulation records for the upper Midwest region, or the snow event of March 15, 1941, which created 7 foot drifts and killed a number of people across Minnesota and North Dakota.
