Title: The Valley City boys' football squad of 1903(N.D.)

Inscription/Marks: On the page below the mounted photograph: col. 76-7, and "Football Squad of 1903---Valley City, No.Dak."
Summary: Sixteen boys, all members of the Valley City (N.D.) boys' football team or squad, are posed for a team photograph with their coach. They are arranged in three rows-one standing, one seated in folding chairs, and the front row reclines on the floor. In the center is a young man holding a football on which "VCHS '03" is painted. The coach stands in the back at the left, dressed in a suit, vest, tie, and a shirt with an old-fashioned, detachable collar. The boys wear an assortment of knit jerseys with roll-necks, high dark socks, and padded knickers. Mounted in a scrapbook dedicated to the Grade and High School in Valley City, North Dakota.
