Title: Students listen to a lecture in the Science Lecture Room of the High School in Valley City (N.D.)

Inscription/Marks: On the page below the mounted photograph: col. 76-10, and "Science Lecture Room---Valley City, N.D."
Summary: A full classroom of students, both boys and girls, busily takes notes while the teacher lectures in the Science Lecture Room of the newly built Valley City High School. The brick building was built in 1903 as the third building of the school complex. Behind the teacher in her long skirt, pompadour hair, and crisp white blouse, is a long rank of class-front cases which contain reference books and scientific specimens including a stuffed Snowy Owl. The students are dressed nicely in long skirts and blouses or dresses. High laced shoes were the fashion. Mounted in a scrapbook dedicated to the Grade and High School in Valley City, North Dakota.
