Summary: A large billboard has been placed in the median between the two sides of U. S. Interstate Highway I-94, announcing the opening of the newly completed section between Valley City and Jamestown, North Dakota. This 39.287 mile stretch of the Interstate was the first section to be built in North Dakota, and was completed in fall of 1958. The sign indicates the official Grand Opening date would be October 16, 1958.
