Title: Men at work preparing to demolish the former Will Garden and Lawn building at 4th and Rosser in Bismarck, North Dakota
Date: 11/14/1958
Inscription/Marks: On the back: 0080-Box02-file20-02 is replaced with 00080-0046-01939, "Will Building being torn down. 4th and Rosser. Nov, 1958", 2 col, 17607, "78" encircled, and the dated red Tribune credit stamp.
Summary: Three men are silhouetted against the sky as they work on the demolition of the Oscar H. Will Lawn and Garden building which occupies the south side of the block on the SW corner of the intersection of 4th Street and Rosser Avenue in downtown Bismarck. Another man watches or directs from the sidewalk below. The structure is clad with ornamental concrete blocks designed to resemble rusticated stone blocks. The building, built in 1905, was originally known as the Pioneer Seed House. The workmen are from the Billington Salvage Yards. The Tribune used this image alongside an early picture of the building on Nov.15, 1958.
