Summary: A nursing sister dressed in white habit stands beside the bed of her young female patient, who is visible through the plastic of the oxygen tent which encloses her torso and head. The tank of oxygen is beside the hospital bed in the old fashioned room of the St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, North Dakota. The image seems to be from April 1934. The oxygen tent was invented in 1921, though the use of oxygen in similar devices was begun in 1900.
