Title: Homemade mud brick house

Inscription/Marks: [front top edge of print] 2. from a different angle. [back of print] Home made stove built into this old sod house.
Summary: Mud brick house built by Daniel Reaule in 1886, 7.5 miles east of Ashley, McIntosh County (N.D.) that contains a stove. A chimney is visible coming through the roof near the stove. There appears to be sod or some other natural covering on the roof. A vehicle is partially visible behind the house, as are another building and windmill.

Summary: This may have been part of MSS 10161 George W. Lilly which was .25ft. of notes for the WPA history of McIntosh County, no longer in database or on shelf. Or it may have been separated from the George W. Lilly Pioneer Biography Series 30529. Each photo is stamped Historical Data Project.
