Title: Dakota Theater and Provident Life buildings, Bismarck (N.D.)

Summary: A crowd gathers in a downtown Bismarck parking lot for an unknown event. Many children are present, and quite a few bicycles and cars are parked in the area. A large trailer or truck is partially visible, and the crowd is looking at it. In the background, the Dakota Theatre advertises the film "The Glass Web" with Edward G. Robinson, John Forsythe, and Marcia Henderson. The Provident Life building is also visible in the background. An ice cream shop, with a sign reading "Hi Ho The Dario" and a Sinclair gas station are also visible.||The Dakota Theatre opened as a single screen in 1951 and was converted to a twin screen theatre in at a later time. The theatre originally seated 900, but the seats were reduced to 821 after the second screen was added. The theatre is still standing and has been converted into a restaurant.
