Title: One lane rutted road between crop fields, Bismarck, D.T.
Date: circa 1880
Summary: Wide angle view of a road that was muddy, driven on and is now drying. Deep ridges have been driven into the road from cars driving on it while it was sodden. The automobile tracks weave back and forth across the dirt road showing how difficult it was to traverse the muddy road. The pattern of the tires is preserved in the mud. In the distance on the horizon is an automobile driving towards the camera. Grain crops grow along the roadway, a barb wire fence shields fields of grain and electric poles march up the hillside.
