Title: Liberty Memorial Bridge under construction, Bismarck, N.D.
Date: circa 1920
Summary: A view of the Liberty Memorial Bridge under construction. Only the first span is completed. A crane is visible near the river, and one of the concrete piers sticks up out of the water. The Liberty Memorial Bridge between Bismarck and Mandan opened in 1922 and cost nearly 2 million dollars to build. The bridge was demolished and replaced in 2008.
