Title: Dorothea (Teske) and Carl Gappert, Emilie (Plötz) and Wilhelm Krecklau, with unidentified girl, possibly Bertha Krecklau
Date: circa 1893
Summary: Full length portrait of Dorothea (Teske) and Carl J. Gappert from Mrotschen, Prussia (Mrocza, Poland today) (seated). Standing are Dorothea's daughter, Emilie (Plötz) and her husband Wilhelm Krecklau. The girl between the couples might be Bertha Krecklau, which might place the photo around 1893. Dorothea passed in 1894 and Carl in 1912. The couple came to America in 1881 and made their home near Bluegrass, Morton County, ND. The family believes they are interred in Peace Cemetery in New Salem in unmarked graves.
