A number of does, a couple of pheasants, and a buck are posed in an excess of Holiday enthusiasm in this picture. Taken on January 2, 1953, this dates to the Governor C. Norman Brunsdale tenure in the residence, 1951-1957. Brunsdale and his wife, Carrie Lajord, had two daughters, Margaret Marie and Helen Lucille. He was appointed to fill William Langer's Senate seat after Langer's death in office.
