Collection: 00071 - Former Governors' Mansion Photograph Collection
Folder: 0002
Item: 00039_21
Title: Unidentified young woman smiles beside the flowers at the Old Governor's Mansion, Bismarck (N.D.)
Date: Circa 1955
Inscription/Marks: On the back: 0071-39-21, "no date", "21".
Summary: An unidentified young woman, likely the daughter of chauffeur Phil Fetch, stands next to a garden fence at the Old Governor's Mansion, Bismarck (N.D.). She wears a sharp ensemble consisting of two pieces. The knee-length light colored skirt is A-line, and the top is a fitted same-fabric jacket with short sleeves, flat collar and button-front. Undated, but attributable to the 1950s, therefore it is unclear which Governor's family was in residence at this time, Aandahl left office in 1951, and was succeeded by Brunsdale from 1951-1957, and then Davis from 1957-1961.
