Summary: Three quarter view of the McCabe Methodist Episcopal Church from across the street showing the stone staircase leading to the entrance doors and the sides of the church. It is located at the corner of 5th Street and Thayer Avenue in Bismarck (N.D.). [history] This church was dedicated in April 1909 by Bishop McIntyre and replaced the first Methodist Church built on the site in 1882. H. C. Rhud was given the contract for finishing the church in 1908. The face of the church is made of Menominee red pressed brick, set in black mortar. The cornerstone was laid on Wednesday, June 17, 1908 by Bishop Moore of Cincinnati Ohio.
