Egeland & Bendikte Tobena Bakke Ole Mikalson Egeland (January 31, 1879 - December 29, 1929)70 was born in the parish of Fjotland, Kvinesdal, West Agdar, Norway to Mikal Olsen Egeland (March 26, 183871 - April 5, 1922) and Anne Guria Thorkildsdatter (September 21, 1846 - March 14, 1890). Ole married on March 27, 1909 at Rugby to Bendikte Tobena Bakke (August 1, 1886 - March 10, 1973)72, was born in Lillesand, East Agdar, Norway to Hans Bakke and Rakel Sandsmark. She emigrated to America in 1908 and made her home with the Allick Allickson family.73 Ole M. Egeland was born January 7, 1877 in Norway and he came to Pierce County in 1899 with his father Mikal Egeland. Ole married Bendikte Hanson on March 27, 1909. Mrs. Egeland had come to Pierce County the previous year to be with her brother. Mrs. Ole Egeland homesteaded in Torgerson Township and there they made their home until his death in December 1929.74 To this union were born: Melvin (January 14, 191075 - May 8, 1985)76 Hans (June 24, 1912 - August 10, 1988) Agnes (September 5, 1914 - July 12, 2003) Ragna Theodora “Dora” (July 17, 191777 - August 1985)78 Bernadine Orwilla (July 29, 192379 - February 24, 2008) 12th Census of the United States, Townships 157 R 72 & 71, Pierce County, North Dakota.
