Halvorson (April 1, 1875 - April 11, 1964), was born in Chippewa County, Minnesota, daughter of Ole Halvorson (March 23, 1840 - June 24, 1928) and Bertha Frederickson (December 28, 1847 - May 9, 1925). Ida married on May 11, 1894 at Immanuel Lutheran church, Watson, Minnesota to Martin J. Sveum (August 21, 1870 - April 9, 1944), son of Johan Sveum and Kristine Olsdatter. In the spring of 1900, they moved to Pierce County and farmed north of Rugby, in section 31, Township 158-72 (Spring Lake Township), Pierce County. To this union were born: Joseph Oliver (November 7, 1894 - March 27, 1962) - married Nanalou Argabright (January 8, 1898 - May 31, 1992) John Elmer (May 8, 1896 - December 26, 1978) - married Alma C. Ramberg (March 24, 1890 - November 12, 1958) Carl B.(January 26, 1898 - December 15, 1943) - lived & died in Pierce County Mena (December 27, 1899 - October 2, 1991) - married Kittil Kittilson (September 1886 - July 19, 1969) Olga Ruth (September 5, 1904 - August 24, 1980) - married on July 23, 1924 in Rugby to Edwin Thingvold (March 6, 1898 - February 5, 1985 Louise (February 8, 1906 - January 15, 1998) - married to Axel Swanson Oscar (October 27, 1907 - ?)
