The Assumption church, was the scene of a spring wedding Saturday, April 8 at 7pm. Nuptial mass was performed by Reverend Father Weber, when Crystal DeMaine became the bride of Nick Volk at a double ring ceremony. The bride was giving in marriage by her brother, George DeMaine, Jr. The bride wore a lace bodice over a satin dress with a train and a satin crown with a short veil. Attending the bride were Candy Steinke and Sandra DeMaine. They wore deep pink dresses. Pam DeMaine was flower girl. The groom’s attendants were Jack DeMaine, brother of the bride, and Roman Morin. Robert Jundt was ring-bearer. Dwaine Pede and Donald DeMaine, a cousin were ushers. Leland DeMars sang two numbers during the wedding. The bride’s mother Mrs. George DeMaine Sr., wore a green suit. The groom’s mother, Mrs. Peter Volk, wore a navy blue suit with white trim. Charlot Jundt, Debbie Larson and Connie Martineau were at the gift table. The cake was cut by Mrs. Donal Bischasson, aunt of the groom, assisted by Mrs. George DeMaine, Jr. Mrs. Ed Jundt, sister of the groom, poured at the reception. Mrs. Clifford Axtman, sister of the groom, poured punch. Hostess was Mrs. Ralph DeMaine.
