Summary: A Bismarck Police officer helps the two young crossing guards, Phillip Hoffman and Robert Rosenberger escort youngsters across Prairie Drive to the Highland Acres Elementary School. Visible behind the gathered school children are the homes at 1213 and 1217 Prairie Drive, and on the nearly bare hillside beyond can be seen the midcentury modern home of architect Robert Ritterbush at 1100 W. Highland Acres Road. several dozen boys and girls are waiting to be lead across the street. Phillip is the son of Odelia and Charles Hoffman at 915 E. Highland Acres Rd, and Robert is the son of Mr. And Mrs. E.R. Rosenberger of 1003 E. Highland Acres Rd. The boys in the street with Phillip appear to be twins and wear matching fancy cowboy boots. This is an interesting view of the Highland Acres district before maturing trees and completed house-building filled in the visibility of the setting.
