Title: Barnett Field and grandstand during a baseball game, Fargo (N.D.)

Inscription/Marks: On the front: in the side margin "Barnett Field" is inked. On the back: col. 75/577, "seating capacity 3,500", the phot credit stamp for Henry Bogerief, and postcard marks.
Summary: Netting arches over the grandstand section of the Barnett Field baseball diamond, in Fargo (N.D.). Only a small portion of the baseball field, with one player and lights. Built with WPA labor and material purchased by area businesses, the first games were played on the field in 1936. The official dedication was held on July 29, 1937. Named for local Fargo attorney, Judge William H. Barnett, the field was home to the Fargo Twins for many years, and the capacity for the grandstands was 3,500.
