Summary: A view of the Hotel Sheridan in winter time. Several men stand outside the building, and there is snow on the ground.||The Hotel Sheridan was built in 1877 and owned by E.H. Bly. The hotel was located along the Northern Pacific Railroad tracks between 4th and 5th Streets, and was moved to the corner of 5th and Main Avenue to make room for the NPRR Depot. It was later renamed the Northwest Hotel and became the headquarters for the Nonpartisan League.

Summary: At some point in time the State Historical Society separated photographs into collections by size. The A collection consists of items 4 X 5” or less, the B collection consists of items 5 X 7” or less, the C collection consists of items 8 X 10” or less, the D collection consists of items 11 X 14” or less, and the E collection consists of items larger than 11 X 14”.
