Summary: A display of North Dakota State Mill and Elevator Dakota Maid products is arranged at an unidentified grocery store in North Dakota. Visible are whole wheat flour, farina, cracked wheat, and white flour. Other items such as canned vegetables, raisins, and tomato soup are also on display. A neon sign advertises the State Mill products.||The State Mill and Elevator at Grand Forks produced flour products which were sold all over the state and in other states as well. The mill adopted the brand-name Dakota Maid for its flour products. The profits from the sale of flour and the management of the mill returned to the state’s treasury.
