Summary: View from hilltop of White Earth (ND). Large dirt road leads into town, boardwalk starts at first house and follows road across town on photo left side. Residences start at edge of town and continue to middle of image. Each house has an outhouse in the large backyard. Large brick buildings show the beginning of business district. One street to photo left is a church with steeple. Cargo railroad cars are visible beyond the church on tracks with smoke coming off engine. Depot is at the end of the main street. Hotel is photo right on main street with two more churches on the next street photo right and the school near the edge of the image photo right. Cultivated fields line the horizon before the hills that edge the town.
