Summary: A large brick school building. The entrance is elevated. There is a lawn in the foreground. Other buildings are in the right background. The Bismarck Indian School operated from 1907 to 1937. Enrollment ranged from 50 to 125 students. In its later years of operation, the school only admitted females. After the school closed, the building was used by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Since 1945 it has been the site of the North Dakota National Guard's Fraine Barracks.
