Summary: A horse and cart is pulled up in front of the Yegen Grocery on Main Avenue in Bismarck. Four men stand outside the building that has John Yegen's name stencilled in the window, and a sign reading "Groceries & Provisions City Bakers" on the front.||John Yegen arrived in Bismarck in 1872, and established a tent bakery on Main Avenue. More permanent buildings on Main Avenue were built in 1877, and were moved again in 1908.
