Summary: Group of men in uniforms with dog stand outside log building with sod roof. One man looks through a window from inside the building. The man to far photo right leans on a cannon. [Fort Berthold was destroyed by the Sioux in 1862. The abandoned Fort Atkinson, located in the same area, was rebuilt and renamed Fort Berthold, usually referred to as Fort Berthold II.
