Summary: A soldier in uniform playing a bugle stands atop the Soldiers and Sailors monument at the North Dakota Soldiers' Home in Lisbon, N.D.||The Soldiers’ Home in Lisbon also had a statue honoring the “Soldiers and Sailors” of the Civil War era. Many towns such as Fargo and Grand Forks also placed monuments in parks to honor the veterans and those who died in the United States’ most difficult war.

Summary: Consists of images mostly taken by Dana Wright of his service in the Mexican Border War, Spanish American War and Philppine Insurrection, and Word War I in the North Dakota Volunteers and North Dakota National Guard.
