Summary: A very large, well built house with a flat roof stands behind a row of trees at left. Towards the right there is a smaller two story building and a barn. A shed stands in the background between the buildings. A cow is grazing at far right. Grass is in the foreground. James Holes settled on this farm at the north end of Fargo in 1871. His former farm became the Holes Addition to Fargo. See The Record, Vol. 9 No. 4 Page 14
