Summary: Outdoor, full-length, full-face portrait of Little Owl, his wife and baby seated on chairs in front of log house. He is wearing an eagle feather bonnet with bead and disk necklace, with eagle whistle on string over dark vest and white long sleeved shirt. A pipe and pipe bag rest on his lap that is covered by a striped blanket. His feet are covered by moccasins and crossed in front of him. His wife wears an elk's tooth top with bone chest place over a dark dress with light edgings and she wears beaded moccasins. Although her face is blurred her hair is in braids and she wears earrings and a beaded necklace. The baby rests on her knee on top of a small quilt.
