Summary: Series consists of correspondence, state plans, memoranda, press releases, and reports. Includes correspondence to and from the Department of Human Services relating to their various programs; correspondence with other North Dakota state agencies; information and correspondence concerning organizations outside of the Department of Human Services; correspondence, information and minutes from boards, committees, councils, task forces, forums; record of 3-year terms of all county social service board memberships; information on what is proposed or enacted into state law for the department including initiatives, referendums, laws, requirements, and regulations; information and guidelines on established principles and methods of operation of/for agency, goals and objectives, strategic plan, grant information, standards for Human Service Center licensures, and policies issued by the Executive Office; correspondence with county social service boards not relating to a project file; correspondence and information relating to programs, projects, and services relating to this department; correspondence and information on department’s special programs and services that are of a short-term nature; and studies and reports of the department and other agencies. Of particular interest is a photograph album of Camp Grassick from 1937 and reports developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps and Federal Emergency Relief Agency from 1934-1942. __ __ __Summary

The collections preserved in the North Dakota State Archives include over a million images. Only a small percentage of these images have been digitized. This photo gallery provides a preview of the images that have been digitized.
