Inscription/Marks: Seymour Sabin & Co. where they had threshing machines from Stillwater Penitentiary Minn. on left of picture. Right of picture Viet's horse barn S. 3rd St.
Summary: A steamboat docked at Grand Forks between two barns. Materials have been unloaded and are piled in the center. There are several wagons next to the building on the left. Horses pull a wagon towards the pile at center. People are scattered throughout the foreground.||The steamboat in the background is the John L. Grandin. This boat was constructed by owners of a bonanza farm in 1878 to haul grain on the Red River.
