Summary: Troop of nurses and doctors bound for Base Hospital No. 60 in France pose as a group in front of Judson Memorial Church at Thompson Street and Washington Square South (56 Washington Square opposite Washington Square Park) before leaving to serve in World War I. They left Hoboken New Jersey on the Leviathan on September 29, 1918. Jessie Paton Allen, Chief Nurse was from Belmont (Mass.), Annabel Foss was from Drake (N.D.), Anna Pauline Rockswold was from Litchville (N.D.), Sarah Sand was from Emerado (N.D.), Susie Hunter from Baldwin (Wis.), Jennie Marie Goodman from Dawson (N.D.)
