Summary: Left to right: Reverend Harold Case, Reverend Charles Lemon Hall and Reverend Lawrence Howling Wolf in front of the residence at Independence Mission Church complex. Lawrence Howling Wolf (aka Bear Crosses The Water) (Arikara) (1884-1983) was a minister of the Nishu Congregational Church which was a branch of the reservation mission at Elbowoods. It appears to have been taken at Reverend Hall’s retirement party in 1955. The paper facsimile files identify them all and there are more group photos taken on the same day.
