Title: Unidentified man on horseback at Theodore Roosevelt Cabin, Bismarck, N.D.
Date: circa 1916
Summary: An unidentified man wearing a uniform sits on horseback in front of Theodore Roosevelt's cabin on the State Capitol grounds in Bismarck. Mature trees surround the cabin. Theodore Roosevelt came to North Dakota first in 1883 to hunt buffalo. This was his cabin on the Maltese Cross (also known as Chimney Butte) Ranch. It was originally located 7 miles south of Medora. While Roosevelt was president, the cabin was exhibited in St. Louis and Portland. After the tour, the cabin was moved to the state capitol grounds, where it remained until 1959, when the National Park Service moved it back to the Badlands.

Summary: This collection contains individual and group portraits and pictures of members of North Dakota Chapters of Daughters of the American Revolution. A large number of postcards of French monuments and ruins during World War I are present, as well as photos of early Bismarck (D.T. and N.D.) and Dryden (N.Y.).
