Inscription/Marks: On the back: 0075-220, and a Caterpillar Tractor paper with the company letterhead and the information "Rec'd by-Louis Canedy; Date taken-9/18/37; Model-RD8; Owner Barnes County Valley City, N.Dak; and the description of the work-"Caterpillar Deisel RD8 and 48 elevating grader building a road 3 miles north of Eckelson, N.Dak. Consumes 4 1/2 gals. 10.3 cents fuel per hour; and "19791N".
Summary: Road building is moving along on a stretch of rural road north of the town of Eckleson (N.D.). The scene shows the straight grading and trenching work being done by men with a Caterpillar Deisel FR8 and 48 road Grader equipment. Along the side of the improvement area is a fenced farm field on one side and an unfenced stretch on the other.
