Inscription/Marks: On the back: 00080-0001-00010 replaces "Box 1 fl-10".
Summary: An unidentified man leans to converse with John and Joan Von Rueden at an annual Republican fundraising event in February 1975. The Lincoln Day banquet was held during the Legislative session each year. The podium is marked as property of the "Holiday Inn" in Bismarck, N.D. a large decorative steamboat wheel hangs behind the head table, and table decorations include cut-outs of Lincoln's head and snow men with cardboard top hats. Von Rueden was an active force within the Republican circles in North Dakota. Taken by a Bismarck Tribune photographer, possibly Leo LaLonde, Steve Wallick, or Jerry Anderson, all working at the paper during this period, and part of a collection of several decades of newspaper photographs donated by the Tribune.
