Summary: Mrs. Harry Fasthorse and Mrs. Art Link hold one end of the ribbon, and Mandan Mayor Malcolm Brown the other end, as Governor Link cuts it at the opening ceremony of the new Sitting Bull Bridge over the Heart River south east of Mandan, N.D. The bridge crosses the Heart River, carrying vehicular traffic along Highway 1806. Mrs. Fasthorse is in subdued regalia, Mrs. Link in a light pants suit. The Governor is in a suit and tie, the mayor in shirtsleeves and a tie. Taken by Mandan, North Dakota photographer and photo stringer for the Bismarck Tribune, Bob Feickert, and part of a collection of several decades of newspaper photographs donated by the Tribune.
