Summary: Posed with a two-horse buggy displayed in the Lewis and Clark Hotel in Mandan, North Dakota are two members of the George Armstrong Custer family. Charles Custer has a pipe in his mouth, and namesake George A. Custer sits on the buggy seat. The men are in the area to participate in an event held at Fort Lincoln State Park. Taken by Mandan, North Dakota photographer and photo stringer for the Bismarck Tribune, Bob Feickert, and part of a collection of several decades of newspaper photographs donated by the Tribune. Stamp dated Jul 16, 1976 and Aug 17, 1976.
