On the back: 0080-Box 01-file 11-61 is replaced with 00080-0018-00791, and stamped credit and Naval information lines stating the m=name of the ship, date of image negative tracking number, and the names of all the men with their hometowns, "E90" circled, and "21645".
Summary: Gary Stammen of Minot with Rep. Hjalmar C. Nygaard (R-ND), Donald Savre of Cooperstown, Richard Weston of Oakes, Robert Wessing of Chicago (IL), Rep. Ron L. Short (R-ND), and R. Bjarne Tormaschy of Bismarck pose in the lunchroom of the U.S.S. Wasp, an aircraft carrier. The young men are all sailors and are dressed in their wool sailor uniforms. The North Dakota legislators were on a tour of the ship which was commanded by Bismarck native Rear Admiral Francis Nuessle, son of North Dakota Supreme Court Chief Justice W. L. Nuessle. North Dakota sailors serving on the Wasp were brought in to lunch with their Representatives. The ship Wasp was an aircraft carrier warship holding 2400 men, first used in WWII, in the Pacific Theater. This image was taken by the US Navy on March 3, 1961. Used by the Bismarck Tribune.
